Cassie BrownTherapy · LMFT

Hi, I’m Cassie.

I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I’ve been practicing for 15 years, and for the past decade I’ve worked specifically with teens and launching young adults. I love this stage of life. The change that can take place is amazing if you’re given the right tools.

Each of us has beliefs and experiences that affect our ability to form meaningful relationships, accomplish goals, or accept ourselves. My goal is to help you challenge the negative beliefs, strengthen the positive ones, and develop a stronger sense of self, which leads to more stable relationships.

I’ll help you identify the problem areas and build specific skills for each one. Using approaches like EMDR, IFS, and DBT, we’ll find the patterns you’re stuck in and new ways to experience emotions without falling back into old ones.

Because I’m a marriage and family therapist, I take a systems approach, even in individual therapy. None of us lives in a vacuum, so we’ll look at how your family, friendships, and the rest of your world fit into what you’re going through.

Faith is an important part of life for many of the people I work with. If it matters to you, you’re welcome to bring it into our work.

Therapy isn’t always easy, but it’s very helpful. If you’re thinking about it, go with it.

Outside the office

I’m a mom of three boys, and we are rarely still. Sports are one of my favorite activities. From volleyball to baseball, I can often be found cheering loudly or playing a sport with my family.

I stay in Utah for the mountains, but I yearn for the beach, so I make it a point to touch sand at least twice a year.

I’m also an avid board game enthusiast and have passed that on to my kids. Many evenings are filled with hours of strategic board game competition. It’s the best.
